Thrift store coming to downtown Kenmare...

Up until now, the closest thrift stores to Kenmare were in Stanley, Minot and the Minot Air Force Base. That’s all in the process of changing.

Kenmare Closet opening soon . . . Kenmare Closet manager Kari Emmel sorts through a rack of clothing as she gets the new thrift store ready for opening in downtown Kenmare. The shop is located in the upper level of the office building, between Kenmare Theater and the ReNew United Methodist Church on the Southside Square.

Up until now, the closest thrift stores to Kenmare were in Stanley, Minot and the Minot Air Force Base. That’s all in the process of changing.

A new thrift store called Kenmare Closet, is expected to open Dec. 15, just in time for Christmas.

According to manager Kari Emmel, the opening will happen on Dec. 15 but she isn’t certain that all items will be in place by that time.

Regarless, the new thrift store, the Kenmare Closet will be open on the 15th from 2-6 p.m., and Dec. 16 and 17 at the same time.
