Wold eclipses 1,000 career points...

It isn’t an easy task to score 1,000 points during a high school basketball career but that’s exactly what Walker Wold did Jan. 12.

It isn’t an easy task to score 1,000 points during a high school basketball career but that’s exactly what Walker Wold did Jan. 12.

Wold, a 6-3 senior who plays forward for the Lewis & Clark-Berthold Bombers, nailed it just before half time in a home game against the Stanley Blue Jays.

He called it “a pretty cool feeling,” but said he wasn’t thinking about an individual milestone. His concern was winning a close game.

“Nobody said anything,” Wold said. “Coach didn’t say anything, so it was a total surprise.”
