Three Honkers sign letters of intent...

Three football players who have excelled in the Honker program the last couple of years, have all signed letters of intent to play college football.

Three football players who have excelled in the Honker program the last couple of years, have all signed letters of intent to play college football.

Jaden McNeiley of Kenmare and Bo Thingvold and Caleb Erickson, both of Bowbells, will be playing football at the collegiate level in the fall.

McNeiley and Thingvold will both be going to Valley City State University where they will play for the Vikings and Erickson will join up with the Minnesota State University Dragons program located in Moorhead.

McNeiley is 5-11 and 175 pounds. He played wide receiver and outside linebacker in Kenmare. Thingvold, at 6-1 is 200 pounds and played running back. Erickson is 6-4 and 230 pounds. He was a Honker tight end and middle linebacker.

“When it comes to the signings, we as a coaching staff and program are really proud of these guys and the opportunities they have in front of them,” said Honker head coach Isaiah Steinwand. “They have been some of the hardest workers and deserve the chance to continue playing the game of football. Bigger than that, it gives them a chance to get a higher education which is what this is all about.” ...
