Berthold city engineer Brice Nelson was bombarded with questions he apparently was unable to answer last Monday night during the Berthold City Council meeting.
Nelson, who appeared before the council Jan. 6 to talk about the city’s $1.5 million lagoon renovation project, had little to offer other than reasoning that a wetlands issue is greater than anticipated and will take time and money to resolve.
Mayor Alan Lee was critical of Nelson from the beginning.
“This is a month late and doesn’t answer any of our questions,” Lee said. “How can we proceed? You guys have been dragging your feet for more than a month. Now it sets us back again.”
