Bird counters brave -22F to find 30 species

Volunteers and staff from the Des Lacs National Wildlife Refuge braved one of the coldest mornings of the winter at -22 degrees F to take part in the 109th National Audubon Society Christmas Bird Count, held December 15, 2009, in Kenmare.

Kenmare program will pay for demolition of rundown houses

For owners of rundown or uninhabitable houses in Kenmare, the time is right to get their property cleaned up. Rather than the unwelcome nuisance notices some owners of unkempt properties have received in the past, a monetary incentive will now be available to those who demolish their dilapidated structures.

Donnybrook and Tolley area water users now hooked up to NAWS

Approximately 150 water hook-ups in the Donnybrook and Tolley areas were connected Tuesday to water supplied by the City of Minot through the Northwest Area Water Supply (NAWS) pipeline.
