Drive-in becomes One Stop Burger Shop with new ownership
The Kenmare One Stop corner stays plenty busy, with the clothing and work wear sales, laundry facility, embroidery service, and rental storage units all in high demand. Now, owners David and Penny Sigloh invite their customers to swing by for a bite to eat at the One Stop Burger Shop, most recently called the Chill-n-Grill and known to Kenmare’s middle-aged residents as Liver’s Drive-In.

State Ag Commissioner honors Renville Elevator Co. with Environmental Respect award

Kenmare Area Community Foundation meets $10,000 fund-raising goal for 2010
In less than two years, the Kenmare Area Community Foundation has more than doubled in size from an initial $25,000 donated by the Kenmare Veteran’s Club, Inc. and the Kenmare Community Development Corporation, to $53,180.

Mouse River Park should be safe from flooding

Kenmare kids make history as the ladybug is named the official state insect
On March 15th, Governor Jack Dalrymple signed into law House Bill 1219, legislation that designates the Convergent Lady Beetle, commonly known as the ladybug, as the official state insect. The Governor signed the bill during a ceremony at the state Capitol. He was joined by legislators and second grade students Megan Zimmer, Isabel Schwab, Jaden McNeiley and Logan Redding from Kenmare Elementary School, who were instrumental in passing the legislation.

Kenmare is 4th at State
The Kenmare Honkers girls basketball team made their third straight appearance in the Class B state tournament last weekend in Bismarck. They came home with a fourth place finish, the best showing for seniors Katie King, Erika Lemere and Kortni Miller, who have played on the state court in all three tournaments.

Kenmare school board discusses range of topics and conducts evaluation of superintendent during retreat
Kenmare school board members talked about a variety of topics and changes for the district during a retreat held March 9th, but the only official business they conducted that day was an evaluation of Superintendent Duane Mueller.
