New bridge going in at Brick Yard
A project to repair the Brickyard Road on the Des Lacs National Wildlife Refuge has closed the Scenic Auto Tour Route along the refuge south of Kenmare.

Four options presented for Kenmare School expansion
“If we had to split another class, right now between the buildings, we have only one room that’s not a classroom,” Kenmare Public School Superintendent Duane Mueller told an audience of 20 teachers and patrons who attended a second public forum to discuss a building project proposed for the district.

Honkers first football game is Tuesday
Kenmare-Bowbells-Burke Central head football coach Courtney Seime started the 2013 season August 14th with a camp-out on the football field, complete with tents and an icehouse for sleeping overnight and fresh caramel rolls for breakfast the next morning, courtesy of school district head cook Sharon Wink.

Burglar appears to have targeted small supply of cough syrup
