At 103 lbs., Tanner Egeberg earned third place after pinning Aaron Sandy of Bishop Ryan in 1:47. Egeberg (11-7), an eighth grader, will make his first appearance on the state mat, starting the meet against No. 1 seeded Hunter Eslinger (30-7) of Beulah.

Freshman Riese Dignan qualified in third place at 112 lbs. with a 7-4 decision over Layton Erickson of Des Lacs-Burlington. Dignan makes his first trip to state with a 9-8 record and will open against No. 7 seeded Colton Neumiller (21-13) of New Salem.

Senior Kyle Helmers qualified at 130 lbs. with a third place finish. He pinned Steven Jurick of Bishop Ryan in 2:17. Helmers, at 14-6 for the season, opens his first state tournament against No. 3 seeded Adam Dullea (25-8) of Central Cass.

Rhett Wolter will return to the state tournament after finishing fourth at 135 lbs. on Saturday. He lost his final match by default because of injury to Chandler Meiers of Stanley. Wolter (17-10), a sophomore, will begin his third state meet with a match against No. 7 seeded Michael Wolf (26-13) of South Border.

Senior Braden Overson will see action on the state mat at 140 lbs. after placing third by pinning Keenan Browne of DLB in 1:54. Overson (14-8) returns for the third time to the state event and will open against No. 3 Hunter Mairs (34-7) of Lisbon.
